My Favorite 10 Images 2018
I’m always getting asked what are my favorite images, so i thought i would post the 10 images that i like the best from what i have taken in 2018
(scroll down for the whole list)
And finally number 10 and this one is purely in the top 10 because a) i love a spiral stairs and b) because the way we had to get in was so unusual which involved a music festival, hippies and a ladder, but that’s a story for another time or maybe blog post…
Shot was taken in an abandoned mansion somewhere in France
This images sits at my number 9 slot, it is an absolute amazing sight. A lost and abandoned theatre in Italy.
The reason why it is in my top 10 is due to the fun time we had trying to get in to see it and the stunning look of this theatre.
This one was shot quite late in 2018 but nevertheless it still gets in my top 10, Taken whilst on tour in Hungary, this old powerstation was in the process of being dismantled so we were lucky to get to see it. This location was where some of the movie Blade Runner 2049 was filmed.
Number 6 on the list is another shot from the abandoned asylum in Italy but this time its a model shot. the location and the model just go brilliantly together. I gave her the idea to portray a lost inmate who had been driven insane. I think Kerry pulls this off perfectly and i just loved the result
Number 5 comes in with this image, This one took quite a bit of planning from getting the dress from Belgium, getting myself and a model to the location and finally getting in to be able to shoot. To be honest we were amazed we manged to pull this one off. Again Kerry Dickens did a stunning job with the pose and giving me the exact look i was hoping for.
Another location that i hold dear, and another one i had to wait years to actually get to see. Shot in an abandoned asylum in Italy. This is truly an incredible location, we spent 3 hours in there and i could have spent a whole day there. The whole place is so photogenic, a photographers dream. This is why this shot had to be in my top 10
This image was taken in an abandoned train set somewhere in the UK. I put this image in at number 3 due to the fact it was incredibly hard to shoot in this location as the lighting was really dark and also the cramped space the model had to work in. Kerry Dickens did an amazing job managing to create this pose.
No collection of my favourite images would be complete without this image, i had waited years to finally see this location, and it took some work to be able to see it. This is a art deco control room of a powerstation in Hungary. The time it took to see it and the fact its stunning is why this image sits at number two.
